This is a watercolor of a woman that I was commissioned to do. I think the nose is too dark but am willing to take critiques. I don’t want to give it to them looking crappy. Otherwise I like it. 🙂
Pen and ink on paper. I made the paper myself out of water color paper and lavender grown from my garden last summer. I shredded the paper and then soaked it in water. After a couple days I put the paper and lavender in the blender. I added water until it was a nice paste. I spread it out on a board that was covered in wax paper. Once dry I drew on it. I had to be very careful due to it wanting to shred. Otherwise I thought it turned out ok.
Oil on canvas. I started with the background of an eye on the canvas. It was fairly regularly painted. After it dried I scraped the other colors across the canvas. Of course I wanted to leave enough eye peeking through so you could tell there was an eye in there. I am pretty happy how it turned out and hope everyone loves it!
